Day-Date 40 Olive (228235) Wall Art

Hi all,

I saw someone post a link to Etsy the other day in a thread relating to watch wall art. Long story short, I saw this print and had to have it. The olive dial is my favorite in my collection.

The seller mentioned they didn’t offer the framing option for US clients (they were located in the UK). I ended up ordering just the print and stopped by IKEA for the frame in preparation for the print’s arrival.

I had to YouTube how to frame a print to an inside mat within frame. This was my first time doing any of this and I researched the heck out of everything to make sure the sizing would line up. I don’t think it came out too shabby for a first timer.

It’s going into my home office once I stop by Home Depot and get the proper screws to wall mount. Since I’ve been working from home often given the pandemic, this was what I was looking for to help personalize the work space.

Is that a Day-Date sitting in marijuana?

That's the only thing that's a bit weird about this poster. The watch appears to be resting in some dirt weed.

Here's the link to the print. I bought the 50 x 70 cm fine art print. This is for the print only as I framed it separately.

For the frame, you'll need the 24 x 35 3/4 inch if you plan on pairing it with an interior mat. Here's the link to the one I bought. They have a few different styles available for this size. You can also confirm fitment combability for the interior mat by viewing the product size section. Basically the print will be just slightly bigger than the mat opening and you'll need to tape the top of the print to the backside of the mat.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Looks cool, nice frame/mat job!

Imagine how crazy we’d think our wives would be if they had a framed painting of their favorite LV bag hanging on the wall.

I forgot to include the tape I purchased. You’ll want to use this to secure the top edge of the print to the backside of the mat.

Hahaha true, fortunately those close to me also enjoy and support my passions of horology, travel, and cars so no issues here.
