That's where I think you are wrong. ADs very much care about selling to flippers. An AD cannot help what someone does with their watch after the sale, but they can stop selling to them if they suspect or know they are flipping, which is what they do and Rolex HQ asks them to do.

the internet has definitely made flipping rampant, and not just in watches.

i still don't like flippers, and flipping. i think they just increase the price of watches without adding any value.

arguably, the only positive thing is that it's made people look at other brands.

Obviously it's nice that the watch is worth double what I paid for it, but my intentions were never to "flip".
Sell it back to your AD. I believe most ADs will have resellers they work with even if they dont sell used watches.

I don't like flipping and flippers. However, for flippers, what is the risk for the flipping? AD may find them but no always. For Rolex, there is no name on the card right now. How AD can find these flippers? I mean if there is no/low risk in flipping, more people will flip the watches when facing the large profit. If flipping is "crime", it needs "laws".

I imagine this works to the detriment of the consumer. I know my AD will do trade-ins, and they’ll give MSRP (not sure how this works for discontinued pieces) towards something at least double in value. It may also have to be for a PM or bi-metal piece.
