Reverso sizing

Dear all:

Thoughts on the two reverso sizes pictured here? The price different is negligible (250 more for the large model) so fit is most important. Store is willing to negotiate but didn’t tell me how much room they would go until I decided on one. Also anyone else with a watch with small seconds find it distracting? This will be my first watch with it. Thanks for the help!

Second one for me !
Such a classic timepiece that I would wear it in a classy way (ie not to big for my wrist).
My 2 cents…

Also agree the 2nd pic looks more fitting for the style of the piece

Agree with the others that #2 looks better. I flat out love my reverso.

#2 looks better. I have the large on my 6.5 inch wrist. The second hand lets you know the watch is working. Bought mine 5 years ago with a big discount from AD. I enjoy it very much. Classic.

Wow looks great on you. Can I ask how much of a discount I should be looking for on the duoface? I like it but it’s out of my price range right now

The 2nd one looks much better on your wrist.

I have the smaller version and prefer it to the larger one on my 6.7" wrist. Because it wears quite flat and is dressy, this is the type of watch that doesn't look good if it's too large, in my opinion.

As for the small seconds, I wouldn't buy a watch without a seconds hand because I want to make sure the watch is running and be able to set it precisely.

If you can swing the Duoface, I would definitely go for it. In the past, JLCs could be had at very substantial discounts but recently those have been reduced somewhat. These days, I would be happy with a 25% discount on a steel model and 20% would be the least I'd accept.

I find most cell phone pictures to be deceptive as to size and cannot comment based on these photos. Reversos tend to wear larger than their dimensions, IMO, due to the flat caseback and lugs that are integrated into the case. If a Reverso is close to overhanging your wrist, it is too large. I like to see some wrist on both sides of the case (including lugs). YMMV.

As much as I’d like to have a contrarian view, I agree with the masses that the bottom looks best. Is there any difference in thickness between the two?

BTW, that is a sweet watch. I’ve always admired Reversos.

Beautiful watch. Go for it. It seems to be that a reverso can be worn in all circumstances and look cool. I agree that you don’t want to go to big with a traditional look so bottom size.
