1969 Ref. 1675 Dial your opinion

I would like to hear your opinion about this dial. It is probably a Mark1?! How would you describe the condition.

Thanks and Regards

I think it will look fine to the naked eye. Sometimes you can overdo it with the macro shots.

The dial looks nice to me, the hands lume flaking off might be a problem

Very nice Mk1 dial. If I’m not incorrect there were 2 types of Mk1, identical looking but as the years past they aged differently.

That sounds interesting. Whether this is due to the material composition or the ambient conditions?

I believe composition. Some aged more puffy and some flat.

For reference, original dial, bezel, hands, and date wheel (#2.32m).

A nice watch you have. This is how my dial looks in natura. My watch is a 1.9 mil. and has a periodically correct date wheel (Round 3, Closed 6 & 9, and Hooked 7). I would like to spend a nice Fat Font Inlay.

The second hand reacts to UV light (light up and then significantly less, but still perceptible). Can this possibly contain a zinc sulfide mixture contrary to the rest of the lume?

Nice piece! I wouldn't worry too much about the replaced/relumed second hand.

My watch has now got a beautiful transformation with this "super fat insert". Thank you Faizan (fizz) @watcheswithfizz for the smooth transaction.

What's fatter than super-fat? Mega-fat? Ultra-fat? Super-duper-ultra-mega-fat?

I hope you also had an eye for the insert in addition to the critical words about the font. That was actually my intention...

I think there is something missing in the translation.
There are just so many different references to fat fonts.
You acquired a very nice insert that greatly complements your watch.

Dan is a good man and great contributor to the forum. He did not mean anything derogatory toward it..

Congrats!
