Lots don’t like the SD4K and lots do for all different reasons, you should keep what you like!

I love my SD4K, I personally like how it wears, wouldn’t say it was any heavier in feel than a TT sports and don’t notice it’s overwhelmingly thick

But it is still appreciating slow and steady.

Maybe it takes its biggest jump well into the future, when 'real collectors' look back and appreciate its scarcity/role in Rolex and SD history.

But for the short-term, there are way faster risers.

And just on the watch itself, I agree on its proportions. Everyone wants it to be a modern version of a 5 digit case proportion watch, but it's short lugs and thickness preclude that.

It's still a great piece though OP.
The SD4K is a modern classic. Last of the 'True' SeaDwellers.

Assuming that SD4K refers to the 16600 I personally think it’s one of not even a handful of the most significant Rolex watches. And the most underrated (I don’t want to say undervalued) at that. So I would never trade mine. It’s my only Rolex at this point and I’d be ok if it stays that way (as much as I also want a 36mm Explorer or a vintage no date Sub).
