The two watches are apples to oranges but I would go for the 5164a in a heartbeat.

Not quite sure i understand the question properly. But out of the two watches, I’d go with the AP all day without hesitation.
But you’ve posted this on the Patek forum so I suspect the vast majority of responses will favour the Patek. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not a fan of the AP chronos (would much rather have a 15202 or 15300) and am leaning 5164 where Patek certainly has nailed the dial but I find the travel time complication a bit silly. How about getting a 5968 instead?

Which AP chrono? I would do so for the green 41mm and 38mm white ROC.

If you're not wearing the Rose Gold Chrono due to color/weight/etc, definitely get the 5164A. Probably one of the best Aquanauts and if you travel, the dual time is simply the best. Be careful that the bezel you may be getting hasn't been polished...

Depends on which specific AP chrono you’re referring to. If it’s the 26320OR with the black dial, I’d be hard-pressed to part with it.

The 5164 is more versatile.

5164a is definitely one of the most versatile and best looking PP sports in the collection. Looks at home at the beach as much as in the boardroom or evening tux!

I have had two blue dial AP RO Chrono's...sold them both. I have a 5164 and would never sell it...personal choice and they have totally different looks...I never found the AP to be comfortable...it also bugged me that it was not an "in-house" movement...I know this has been discussed at nauseam so don't flame me on that...

Without even seeing the 5164: it’s polished.
Tread lightly.

Love my 5164. The one watch I will never sell. Best looking aquanaut dial IMO, puts a smile to my face every time I put it on. Try one on if you could and see if it does the same to you.

I love the aquanaut but I would not trade in a Royal Oak on a bracelet whatever the model for a Patek on rubber unless they are paying me a price difference. I know this may not be where the market is at but that's my opinion.
