Which RO is this???

AP has a story about the RO redesign up right now, explaining the new design language with larger chamfers, more bracelet taper, new hands/indices etc. Nice read. It includes the picture below. I'm feeling a bit dense, but which model is this? It's not a 15550, nor the current 15500 (this has narrower, longer indices, among other changes). It's not a Jumbo, 33mm,34mm, 15450 or 15400 either. So?

They are re-releasing the 15500. A little birdie told me so. I think its the old 15500 with applied indices and the new case/bracelet design.

This looks like the new 15500. It doesn’t have the “AP” logo above the written Audemars Piguet signature?

Correct this is the new 15510, to be announced in c.10 days.
Pictures have started to leak and are floating around.

Maybe a personal bias but the 15500 dial already looked empty, without the "AP" logo I imagine the dial becoming more monotonous.

interesting. So there used to be a ring outside of the tapissary for the minute indicators. Now the tapissary fills the whole dial, and the markers have extended all to the way to the edge of the dial. The 3D Audemars Piguet is nice. I get why they removed the AP logo near the 12 O'clock, which would have been overkill.

Agreed, I fear it will look bland.

I believe this is a RO 37mm 50th anniversary

The above picture is indeed the 37mm the one VogelPhoenix posted is the 15510 - 41mm

Date is slightly different and you have more "squares" of the tapisserie in the 41mm

An interesting difference between what Vogelphoenix posted and the 15500 is that on the former, the minute markers sit on the tapisserie itself; the ones on the 15500 exist on a separate track around the dial.

They gotta make the RO 41 dial look worse to make the jumbo perfectly balanced and perfectly symmetrical dial look better so there's something to upgrade to!

Wait, why do folks think the pic above is a new 15500 and not the 15550 released? Looks same to me and be strange for AP to "leak" this in their marketing material...

Yup agreed, also makes it look larger on the wrist.. but that could also be because of my small wrists

Count the number of tapisserie squares that e.g. the 6 o'clock index covers. It's 3 for the 15550, but 4 for this watch. Or check the number of squares between center of the dial and date window - 8 here, 6 for the 15550.

Nice observations! Very interesting they revealed it like this, but I suppose it was always the obvious design path they were going to take for the new version.

In addition to what’s been mentioned, what stood out to me immediately were the length of the hour markers and how this changed the proportions of the dial.

That's what I noticed too. I like the longer hour markers which look more elegant.

Prefer the 15500, particularly due to the AP logo and the older bracelet. Does like very nice, though, and the applied logo is pretty cool.

Looking forward to the 15th. Wondering if the ROC ceramic will release as well.
