I compared my wife's blue 15450 to a blue 15550 today - arguments can be made either way, but even if the 15550 may come out ahead by a bit, I wouldn't bother trying to upgrade. I expect it will be the same for me for the 15500 vs 15510 (except for a 15510CE, should that happen).

What I prefer is the minute hand touching the minute track though.

All in all, I would be happy with either a 15500 or 15510. Both are, in real life, close to identical.

Haha, yes I can understand that perspective - and I 100% agree with the preference of the longer minute hand. A subtle, but definitely aesthetically pleasing change.

Wow, no logo is a bold choice. Not one I'm sure I'd make.

If my information is correct, this picture was taken in the window of Harrods where this new model is on display (much to the surprise of AP UK staff…..)

I saw that hidden in Harrods' shop window too... A very bizarre way to 'launch' a new model! South west corner of the store at Hans Road for anyone curious.

Very bizarre to launch such an important watch.

Anyone know if there's going to official launch? If so, when? Been reading this week or July/Aug.

Maybe it is a revision to rectify the design issues fedback by customers. Therefore not a new model, and just update on the quiet. Just saying ; )

Yes there will, not confirmed timing. Spoke with my AP boutique manager today. Mentioned that the watches are making their round around Europe now; Harrods now, another Euro boutique before that (as early as February). I didn’t ask where is next. Couple more boutiques / AP houses planed to open in Germany this year.

Also sounds like the no AP logo is here to stay, at least on new ROs 15510. Sounds like AP spent too much time and effort going for the Audemars applied lettering to just dump it.

To my surprise I was shown a 15510ST last week. I was really impressed with the longer hour markers and thinner links of this new 41 mm RO.
I was told by the representative of AP that in June or July, the 15510 would be announced officially.

Just spoke to my SA and they confirmed June timeframe for the 15510. Minor updates expected, removal of logo etc.

What they didn’t know was whether the 50th anniversary 15510 would be launched for only 6 months? Since it is a June/July release? Or will it continue into 2023 to be a full 12 month release?

Was a bit let down to hear majority of the 50th anniversary pieces are allocated already to clients and even though I have 3 watches with them, it’s unlikely I land a 50th piece this year :/

Yet I know people with 0 or 1 "entry level" watches who have been allocated a 50th anniversary model. Really leaves a bad taste.

AP did say they were giving, or should i say, selling 50th anni models to new customers too, and not just known clientele. I'd say that should be a good thing.
