Diver 15710ST loose crown
hi all! am new to the AP family and excited to have just bought a pre-loved AP Diver (15710ST) from a private seller.
Loose crown: Notice when I tried to adjust the time, the crown can be turn back and forth a little without the minute hand moving. But if you turn pass a certain point, time can still be tune. I did read before a few post on this. Feedback seem like its quite sturdy else not much headway I found. Not sure anyone encountered similar issue? Quite worried that the crown may break off over time. |

If the watch is >3 years old, I suggest it's time for a service. I think the newer models have ceramic crowns which is much nicer.

Diver 15710ST loose crown
Congratulations on the purchase - it’s an amazing watch.
I would send it back to AP for a service and get it sorted out. The crown is probably the weakest point on the watch due to it being a user operated part, fragile stem etc. Good news is that it’s fixable by AP, and I would just advise being careful when using it once fixed and will hold up just fine for normal use. Once the crowns are screwed in then it’s a rock solid watch and can definitely take some heavy wearing.

Both my 15400 and my 15707 has quite some play in the hands when setting the time, fully normal. Tip to avoid minute hand to “jump” when pushing in the crown is to when setting the time is to always set the minute by backing into the correct minute.

hi all, just to share an update. have managed to drop the watch at APSC.
the comment was the crown should not have such feel. They would also be replacing the crown altogether as part of the servicing. |
