Matching YM's For Me & Her - Let's See Yours
Last year I was lucky enough to obtain a rootbeer GMT for me and a purple datejust for my girlfriend.
Since then she's been really interested in watches and wanted something a bit more robust for the weekend. I called the owner of the AD last Wednesday and today managed to secure a matching pair of steel YM's with the slate dial and blue hand. I'm a bit dumbfounded by how easy it was, I guess YM's aren't as popular as the "usual suspects". We're off to the AD in a few days to see them side by side before hitting the go button (you know we will). When I spoke to the AD he explained how supply was the same, but demand was through the roof, so we had to be fairly committed to secure them. |

YM’s are historically in less demand than Subs, GMTs, Daytonas

A great set of pieces
I heard that at one point, you could get matched pairs of YM40s (blue and slate). Any truth to that ? |

My wife has the RG 40mm YM and I have the WG on OF, YG YM 1 and 2. I’m a big fan of the line.

Oh man those are epic! We go and visit ours tomorrow and drop the deposit. I CANT WAIT. I'm really surprised how enthusiastic my partner has become about the watch game.
I love those two tone YMs. I'd have gone that way had I not secured a rootbeer last year! I also love the YMII and also rose gold. I got my first sub 33 years ago and love it.my tastes have broadened quote a bit since then. Panerai, Linde Werdelin last year, two tone.......great hobby, great to share with she who must be obeyed! |
