Matching YM's For Me & Her - Let's See Yours

Last year I was lucky enough to obtain a rootbeer GMT for me and a purple datejust for my girlfriend.

Since then she's been really interested in watches and wanted something a bit more robust for the weekend.

I called the owner of the AD last Wednesday and today managed to secure a matching pair of steel YM's with the slate dial and blue hand. I'm a bit dumbfounded by how easy it was, I guess YM's aren't as popular as the "usual suspects".

We're off to the AD in a few days to see them side by side before hitting the go button (you know we will).

When I spoke to the AD he explained how supply was the same, but demand was through the roof, so we had to be fairly committed to secure them.

YM’s are historically in less demand than Subs, GMTs, Daytonas

A great set of pieces

I heard that at one point, you could get matched pairs of YM40s (blue and slate). Any truth to that ?

My wife has the RG 40mm YM and I have the WG on OF, YG YM 1 and 2. I’m a big fan of the line.

Oh man those are epic! We go and visit ours tomorrow and drop the deposit. I CANT WAIT. I'm really surprised how enthusiastic my partner has become about the watch game.

I love those two tone YMs. I'd have gone that way had I not secured a rootbeer last year!

I also love the YMII and also rose gold.

I got my first sub 33 years ago and love it.my tastes have broadened quote a bit since then. Panerai, Linde Werdelin last year, two tone.......great hobby, great to share with she who must be obeyed!
