Genuine or not

From the pictures provided below, does this watch appear genuine or not? If there are doubts about authenticity, is the definitive way to take this to a rolex AD and request a service on it?

This was bought from an online source (I’d prefer not to name them at this time) with 40+ years of business. However if it turns out to be non-genuine, I’d probably need to do something about it.

Pictures in different angles and lighting conditions:

I agree that if you bought a fake watch from a reputable seller you should probably do something about it :)

You don’t need a full service to get the determination. Most watchmakers will take off the case back and do an inspection at minimal to little charge

I saw the questions on your other thread. Looks funky to me. Something about it seems off. I’m not an expert though. If I was offered that watch for purchase I would have declined just off gut instinct.

Did you purchase as a full set or naked ? Sorry to hear this, out of curiosity place the watch next to your ear in a quiet room & see if you hear that distinctive bell ringing sound genuine models give off. It will be the blend of fast ticking that transitions into a bell ringing sound.

I’m thinking if it is a fake, I would get some sort of documentation from rolex indicating such and I can then present it to the seller.

If it’s legit, it’s probably due for a service anyways as it’s getting close to 10 years.

It looks fine. Nothing jumps out that should cause any concern.

It looks ok to me, but if youre worried about it being a fake, you will need to have the back opened up & have it looked at by a pro.

I saw and commented on the other thread. I think most of the concerned comments were with regard to the Sub as opposed to this GMT. Mine certainly were.

You might need to pick a new hobby.
