Best Independant Watch Repair?

Hey guys,

Well my DateJust 1601 just crapped out on me, too old to be serviced by Rolex AD, so I need some help from you guys. Who are the best, with reasonable rates, independent watchmakers for repairs. Any help from yall would be great. Who to stay away from?

Thanks,
Ryan

Did you talk to Rolex directly? Too many times ADs will have misinformation!

Your AD is wrong. All 1601's are still being serviced by the RSC's.

Try the SF RSC, although the rates won't be cheap.

They told me that the RSC no longer services the 1570 movement that the watch contains, Rolex is shady on the service side. I'll try and give the RSC in my area a call directly.

Chamosa Watch Repair in Dallas. He is top shelf and reasonable on his prices. Worked at the RSC in Dallas for 10 years.

Can someone confirm if RSC no longer services the 1570 movement?
