Not the case (here in the UK) as I have ordered one today.

In the UK non Professional precious metal pieces can be ordered but with a wait......but not a huge amount of time if your spend with "your" AD warrants it.

Probably helps that I have ordered another PM piece at the same time (professional model) but that will take 7-9 months to arrive I understand from my AD I have been buying from for some time.

Hard to say when they’ll pull the plug, but a five year run is the shortest by far in terms of anniversary models so I don’t think it’s likely. Bet you heard those rumblings from a secondary dealer lol. They’ll say anything these days. Remember when they said both the platinum and green dial Daytona were going to get discontinued back in April? Look what happened there.
Last anniversary addition Rolex was the original kemrit. Which ran for 5 years. 2003-2008. This what came out in 2017. Meaning it’s coming up on 5 years next year. THIS WATCH WILL BE DISCONTINUED NEXT YEAR. And then prices will be over 100k

Did you not read my post? It touches on the Kermit which was ran longer than five years unless one cannot do simple math.

Also, the 60th anniversary DD40s were released in 2016. Might want to get your facts straight before you start yelling discontinuation.

The 40mm day dates have always been sold with 30% discount from the price list. For me they are worth this, always under the price list, even if it were out of production. Better the 36mm.

You're wrong, 2003 2010 (the latest are the very rare random) you don't even remember recent history, study better. 100? Ahaha, they can't sell them, the market is full, too.

Some DD40s were selling for almost double retail a year ago. Prices have dropped, but still above retail depending on condition. You cant even get a 5% discount from an AD.

I agree 1000%. The DD and DJ are/were always discounted models. I know the market 2x'd on them but there is no way I would pay retail for any of them, unless they were bundling it with a SS Daytona or something crazy at the same time. I'm old school I guess.
