Have I missed anything? (Watch for kid.)

Hey all... so a while ago I bought my now-11 year old daughter a Timex x Peanuts.

Fast-forward six months and the watch just emerged dead from the washing machine which, really, is on me. I mean: who buys a kid a 30m WR watch?

So I'm looking for a replacement up to around £300. The obvious options are a G-shock (she's currently using one of my squares, and though she likes it, prefers analogue) or a Seiko 5 Sport. The Casioak is huge, and the Seiko is (and here I quote) "an old man's watch", which was also levelled at the PRX and Timex's entire water-resistant range.

Are there any other options that I'm missing?

They're quite cute. Wasn't this the company started by one of the Hodinkee columnists?

Edited: ugh. 30m WR. That's out.

What about one of these (if everyone wants to up their watch game):

There's also the PR100 and Seastar options...

If she liked the previous one, this one has 50m (and you could get a colorful strap):

How about the Seiko snoopy just recently released? Also an old mans watch?

I love them and they were the first I showed her. That was her response.

Young people nowadays. ;)

That's a great watch you got for her! Timex was the first major brand that got me passionate about watches as a child. Always happy to see younger ones getting into actual watches, and I'm sure you'll find the right one to get next.

Thanks! Saves her stealing mine (usually)!

I have a feeling this will also be considered an old mans watch, but how about a Tissot PRX, they have them in ladies sizes and with a quartz movement:

Ok, got one more for you: Zeno. Not sure if they're really any good or not, but seem nice enough for the price, and some cool retro-esque designs (always like their 1016 homage). This is one I can see a typical 11-year-old girl gravitating towards but probably others, too:

Not as cool as the Memphis Tissot, IMO, but might be more her style?

I would browse the Swatch site. I'll bet she would dig it.

WR is an issue, and I don't think she'd find the idea of a purposefully disposable watch appealing when she could buy a G-shock designed to be indestructible for the same money.

Haha! I have a feeling my taste in watches is rather disjoint from hers...

The Hamilton Khaki Field in 38mm is probably a couple hundred bucks more, but it's a lot of watch and has plenty of looks. Still might have old man vibes :)
