No oil starvation, but when I disassembled this morning, the bottom end had been apart before. I suspect the rod cracked and spun the bearing. No excuse for running it with the rod knocking though ! Crankshaft is ruined, center journal has .0058 of wear, undersized rod bearings are only available up to .0020, so I’ll have to find a crankshaft………………. for a 1985 model ! It wasn’t much to look at, but it was what I had and PAID FOR !

Ford/ New Holland 1910?

Very close ! It’s the Shibaura brand version of the 1910, which is identical except for decals.

I’m finding cranks for it. They’re not cheap though.

Have a new one arriving next week, yes pricey ! Worth it to rebuild though, newer tractors are absurd, and I’m starting a new house and will save thousands doing most of the site prep myself

Sweet!! Looking forward to hearing she’s back up and running.

Definitely worth the rebuild. They don’t make them like they used to.

I presume you’ve got a back blade, level/legs, person to hold grade rod while you’re taking your shots and a compactor?

I used to do everything. My friends and I could tear a car down to the studs. Now, I just pay. Way easier.
