there's typically a slow down in the market during summer and then picks up again late fall into the holidays. not a hard and fast rule, but that's what we usually see.

Agree. Market taking a seasonal breather and typically ramps up for the holidays.

This part of summer is historically the slowest time for watch sales. Doubt it affects new watch sales much given the current roll out of new models, lists and demands, but the used market is definitely slower at the moment. It picks back up in the fall and runs hard until just after all the new releases are announced next year. It is a pretty cyclical market in normal times.
