To be specific, it's the kerning of the OYSTER PERPETUAL and the font of the MILGAUSS mark.

EDIT: See my attachment below for images from the Rolex website.

Dial A is what is mostly called "T to T" because the MILGAUSS mark starts from the letter T's of the Oyster Perpetual mark (in reality, though, it's the half of "S" and half of "U") It also has a wider font for the "MILGAUSS".

Dial B, meanwhile, has the MILGAUSS spanning from "S to U" of the OP mark (again, reality is it's about half of "Y" and half of "A") and a thinner font for the watch's name.

It's probably thinner because the "paint" doesn't stick as well in a dial like the Z-Blue compared to the matte dial that holds it better.

However, please note that both black, white, GV and non-GV versions all exhibit the variances regardless of configuration.

Anyway, I have a "Dial A" type. 2012, V series.

So, which one's yours?
Mine is the 3rd type. Let's call it the 2011 Anomaly as I have only seen it on pieces purchased in that year.

The spacing between Oyster and Perpetual is much wider.
