Explorer 1 Bracelet Stretch Newbie

Hi all!

Just joined the forum. Recently picked up an 114270 but only noticed unusual slack in the pin closest to the end link at the 12 marker.

Grateful if you could give your advice on whether this is fine and normal. Love it and don't want to part with it, but want to wear it without worry that the bracelet might fail.

I've uploaded a few photos, plus one of the 6 marker so you can see the difference.

There is no stretch in the other pins or links, just the one closest to the 12 marker.

There's definitely too much play there, but personally I'd be more concerned about the poor fit of the end links to the case. The last picture in particular looks like a really bad fit to me. As far as I know, all 114270's came with SELs, so I'd expect the fit to the case to be very tight indeed. Not sure what's going on there TBH.

Thank you. The bracelet is a 78790A. It's a F Serial Explorer. From what I can see, it seems to be the wrong bracelet for the 1. Would anyone be able to confirm?

Too much wear, eating away the end link already.
Fit of end links is way off … something not right.
Seller offering this makes me wonder about the rest.

Return the watch if you can.

Or invest 2K for a new bracelet and service at a RSC. Costly but at least you will know everything is as it should be.
