But there are other considerations. I’ve dealt with many of the boutique sellers here - they rank as high in satisfaction.

So I’d say DavidSW is not “higher” in regard among his peers, just perhaps higher in customers served?

I agree he has good Customer service. I actually haven’t bought from him since 2016 but back then it was good. But let’s be real, for 98% of our trusted sellers they are all going to safely package and ship the watch. That’s pretty much the extent of service provided. Not worth the 2-3k over other greys

My favorite greys:

- OC Watch guy (Patrick)
- SD Rolex (Tony)

There are plenty of reliable sellers here, actually, many very reliable sellers that aren't in the boutique section.
Yes, you are absolutely 100% right and I should have chosen different words.
My bad and I apologize for that, never intended to even suggest that.
Just wanted it to make it easy for the OP to find trustworthy sellers since that can be quite a challenge. Sorry

I've bought several watches from bernardwatch.com over the last 25 years and have always had a good experience.

With regards to pricing - note that asking price does not = selling price. You should feel comfortable making an offer to a seller on what you think is reasonable. Then the rest is in their court. Recommendation if you choose to do so is to also have some data points as to why your offer is fair (aka other comparable listings/sales, etc).

Ultimately, it comes down to doing your research to make sure you're getting (a) a good price and (b) you're buying from a safe third party.

Best of luck
