SS GMT IIc for PAM312?

I am thinking of trading my Brand New SS GMT II Ceramic "V" series for a Brand New Panerai PAM312 "K" series from this guy at TimeZone. Both watches are BNIB with no name and no date on both warranty cards. The seller happened to be looking for GMT IIc.
He wants $1350.00 cash plus my GMT IIc for his PAM312.
I offered $1200.00 cash and he refused.
What is fair trade?

I dont know the fair trade values, but I would say go for the PAM !!!!!!!!!!

This of course does not answer your question, but I simply had to chip in with my completely biased opinion !!

Well, this GMT II is listed at $5500 and hasn't sold yet. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=87362

So even if you assume that price ($5500) and list price of $7400 for the 312, $1350 plus your watch is a deal. That's MHO of course.

You must the price in USD 1,200.-. I think he will give it to you.
Good luck.

It is fair. You are talking 150 bucks on a 7000 watch.

Or just wait and another deal will come up.

The problem is that the GMT IIC isn't a rarity nowadays, and the 312 is. A year ago the GMT would be worth the price of a 312 alone, and a year from now when the 312 is easier to get it'll be a similar swap deal.

All i can say is will you use the GMT IIC, if not then go with the deal, if you would then it might just be worth using it for a while then waiting for the prices of the 312 to come down, which they will in the next few months with the release of the 320, 321 and more 312s being produced.

Decided to wait. My dealer will sell it to me for $6400 if I'm just willing to wait.

Yeap I will wait.

Not only that we bought some watches from him, I also send him some customer that actually bought some watches. He normally gives me 20% on most Panerai but not the 312.

So the waiting game begins.

Don't feel bad. In any waiting game, the buyer usually wins!

Good luck!
