TO Phone Service
Does anyone know if my US Verizon service phone will work in Toronto?

Pretty sure it should.
You might get nicked for roaming charges, but you should have service.

Wait a minute. Do the Canadian systems use GSM or CDMA protocols?

Not sure.
Try www.rogers.com , they are one of the big carriers in Canada. Partners with AT&T

Rogers supports both GSM and CDMA. Bell supports TDMA. I believe Telus is also CDMA.
Either way, you'll be picking up one of the carriers in TO. If you need to call home, you can pick up one of the calling cards which will save you $$ in long distance bills. It has a toll free number as well. Regards, Vernon
