Both are really great looking watches! If I had to pick between the two, it would simply be based on what else is in my collection. As a one and only watch, I’d lean LN.

The bluesy is Ramsses level opulence. A bit too much from my style. This one’s more tone down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Two beautiful and very different watches. The bluesy is quite unique in the Rolex line. The black is more tone down and that why would be my choice.

I had several earlier versions of the bluesy but the new 41MM version nailed it and is a keeper after after sliingselling and buying each new version Stunning and favorite in my collection, it gets more wrist time than my LV

I sort of of have both, but different. And I love them both for different reasons. I love the blue dial and bezel on my Bluesy, but don't care much for the TT oyster bracelet as it is very flashy and is such a scratch magnet. Solved that with a Rubber B and gives it a little more of a sporty look. My new GRNR GMT is very similar to the black dial Sub, but sports a jubilee bracelet which I much prefer over the oyster and seems to make it a bit less flashy. My two cents for what it is worth.

The black/gold is such a total classic. The blue to me is just too much flash, though it is undoubtedly beautiful. |

The blue dial is more popular, but I think the black dial is much more elegant, understated and suitable for all occasions.

So many black dial watches out there. If the sub is a model you like its your chance to have a beautiful non-black dial. Similar to the daytona... one of the reasons the while dial is more popular.

I purchased both new back in the 1980’s. I was quite young so it took some time to save the money. Picked up the black first, later saw the blue and bought it. Both were alternately worn pretty much every day until my wife picked up a new SD4K from our AD for my birthday in 2015. They still keep great time. Can’t go wrong with either one. If I had to choose one, black would be my choice.

Easy to go either way. For me the blue. Just that combo of blue and gold I think is beautiful.

I have no issues with the blue but opted for black. Better fit for me. Keep the pics coming

Very subjective obviously…
Personally I prefer the black dial. Black and gold is a classy look.. The bluesy has a beauty to it but the bezel, bezel font, and dial colour just don’t mesh well imo. |

I bought the blue, but the black is equally nice in its own right.
