Help with a ref 14000
Hi all, acquired my first Rolex and it’s on its way to me, the seller listed it as a 14000 - which make no mistake im happy with, but after researching a bit more I wonder if it is actually a 14000m (no guarantee papers) obviously ill find out when I get it in hand and cross ref the serial No, but for now I’m just racking my brain
There are a few things that I think may point to it being a 14000m but I’m sure there’s a wealth of members on here with a lot more knowledge than me - so if I’m wrong about any of these things please correct me! There’s no Tritium ‘T’s on the dial so I assume it’s a superluminova one, if I’m correct Rolex started using this in 1999 onwards, I was under the impression the 14000m was released starting 2000 so maybe this was one of the last 14000 or early 14000m Funnily enough the holographic sticker is still on the back, there’s no ref number on there but I seem to see this being introduced in about 2002? Not entirely sure on this though The seller stated there was a small crown etched into the glass at 6, which I assume is the LEC, I’m unsure if any 14000 has this, the watch has not had anything done with it and was only worn on occasion I know I can just sit and wait but is there any other visual cues that could help me differentiate the two models? I feel this is going to be a long few weeks! Thankyou all |
