What was your average spend before you received a Pepsi?

I probably shouldn’t post this as I’m having a hard time getting a blnr let alone a blro but out of curiosity how much was you spend before you revived a blro?
If you don’t mind please also mention the city size; Small urban less then 500k population. Metropolitan upto 1.5M or larger metropolitan over 1.5M population

How much are you willing to spend to get one? Sometimes it's easier to buy one grey and be done with all those games.

My spend was $19K when I reached out to my favorite grey dealer and had the watch on wrist the next morning:)

100%! more often than not the math would be in favor of grey. But I’m still curious to know others experience . I wouldn’t be spending money on items I don’t need just to get a watch.

I don't think the answers here will be helpful as the responses will be all over the place. Speaking from my own experience, I began a relationship with my current AD around 2016. I bought two Rolex watches from them before things got crazy with waitlists. I serviced all my other watches through them periodically, bought two IWCs from them, bought some jewelry that my wife wanted. I maybe spent around 50k, but it was all on things I wanted and between 2016-2021.

Come Christmas time 2021, I asked if they could put me on a waitlist for a BLRO. I said I didn't care which bracelet, just that it was a BLRO as I was selling my BLNR. I got a call three days later to come pick up my watch. I know I jumped all the waitlists. I know I did not spend anywhere close to what some people spend at this AD. I do know that I stop by often. I get things fixed there. I service my watches there. When I want something I buy it. I've never been pushed into bundling purchases. I've always been forthright in what I am looking for. I think those things got me the watch.

I am currently waiting for a blue dial Yacht Master and I have been waiting four months or so. The point is: it's very variable, but I think having a relationship (especially with a family owned AD) is more important than just pure spending amount. Though certainly the latter doesn't hurt.

Unless you already have a history with an AD and need jewelry, I wouldn’t even bother with that route for a high demand watch like that. Save yourself the time and agony and buy one from a trusted seller tomorrow. The math shows it’s most likely going to be cheaper too.

I bought a Sub 116610LN, requested a BLRO and 8 months later I received the BLRO. Good luck and I hope you receive what you are asking for.

I’ve spent 50k with one ad, been waiting over 4 years. Will go grey this year if I don’t get one.

My first purchase was two wedding bands (3-4k) in 2017, a bluesy in 2020 then also upgraded my wife's engagement diamond and band for probably 7k in October 2021.

I asked for BLRO in Feb of 2021 and received it on December 24th, 2022.

Myself not willing to pay extra for any watch no matter the brand if I was interested in any watch just retail nothing more. And if any AD asked me that I must get a relationship buy extra purchase to get a watch. I would tell him have enough relations and walk out the door never to return, so he would loose my future business for ever.

Did you get a BLRO, though, Peter?

The purchases leading up to BLRO?

I bought a BLNR, SD4K, and Daytona white dial, Daytona black dial at the Rolex Boutique before I was offered a BLRO 13 months later

Not a fan of most all modern day Rolex especially the ones with ceramic inserts, but did buy one watch with the 32 series movement in a AD with no relationships, first time visit to that watch shop. And by buying any Rolex at today's prices it's the AD that should be grateful and not the other way round that some think today.

Spend history amounts are much higher in Socal from my experience. I'm at $165k over 2 years and no Pepsi.

I totally agree with you, Peter. Unfortunately, the reality is that you were very lucky, given the current market. I’ve been pretty lucky, too, though I did have a small jewelry spend, on wedding jewelry, and a gold religious medal. Actually, I only discovered that the jewelry store was a Rolex AD, because I was looking for a solid gold Miraculous medal, for Christmas, a few years ago, and it was the nicest jewelry store, in my area of northern CA. I don’t think the jewelry spend helped me get a few lower end pieces, so much as my bonding with the SA over talking watches, and dropping in occasionally, for a visit, when I happened to be in town. I’m hopeful they will continue their relationship with Rolex, as they are renovating their Rolex area, according to Rolex’s wishes.
It’s a weird world, when you are willing to pay thousands of dollars, for a wrist watch, and you can’t get one…..

My first watch from my current AD was a BLNR in late 2017, I think the price then was $8950. My BLRO in 2018 was my second watch from them.
Oh, big city AD.

Wife was buying a tennis bracelet with our kids birthstones, I said hey that's a lot of money how about I get a Pepsi for my B day. AD had it for me 5-6 months later (on my birthday)

I think the bracelet was 9-10K and this was 2021

Bought a Milgauss at 1 week wait. Then a BLRO after was 6 months wait.

Frankly, with zero purchase history I’d forget the BLRO for now.

Buy something like a 36 DJ and then ask for a BLNR.
