Heritage and MrZ are correct, that slot is usually called the "shelf." If your 5 digit has the shelf, then the newer SEL 6 digit bracelet should fit. I did it on my 2005 Kermit. Notice the slot/shelf in the case, and the extra machined part on the SEL. Heritage and MrZ's pics show the shelf well.

- 69200 on 16570 and will try 16610 this weekend. It’ll work on the 16710 as well but you need different spring bars for the No-holes case.
- 77200(20 mm from 39mm explorer) on the 16610/16570 but this wasn’t a great fit. It worked but I had to use much smaller springbars to fit and because of it the endlinks were loose against the case. This was not a great combo and I'd avoid it.

I’ll post some pics when I can.

Hey so I have a 16710 with drilled lugs that I would love to be able to put on the new 69200 Jubilee bracelet. I asked my Rolex guy (Not an AD) if it would fit and he said no. But from your message above it it seems you have been able to do it. Any chance you could send a photo?

Cheers

Any picture of the 16570 with 69200 ?
If the 16570 is SEL, which spring bars have to be installed ?

THanks !

Goddammit I wish the Glidelock was fitted across everything in the range, I don't know why we're still having to beg for this. GMT, Daytona, all of them should have Glidelock as standard.

This is one super-cool modification though, well done

Hey Newt - old thread but would love if you could provide more details here.

I saw another post from years ago that this did work, perhaps with different spring bars?

Close to 14 or so years ago I was able to source some 97200 glidelock clasps to put on my 5 digit watches (16610,16610LV, 14060, and 16710 GMT). Reason I did this was the "tuna can" clasp tore my wrist up as I needed to be able to adjust it during summer then winter - and the tuna clasps just didn;t work for me (sharp edges too). The 97200 gildelock clasps work perfect in these applications - easy install. And as others have said, with SEL bracelet 5 digit watches, the entire 97200 bracelet drops right in as well. I know it's not "traitional, but the improvement in "wearabilty" for me is huge

Correct.

And also on. 16710, if the case was for SELs not sure about the older cases.

I believe there does need to be a cut out lip on the bottom of the case between the lugs in order for the glide lock 97200 to fit properly.
