Bought a broken Rolex Submariner 16800.. is it worth the service?
This may have been a mistake but I bought a broken Rolex Submariner ref 16800 for around $1,000.
I am skeptical as I did not buy the "seller" per se, but I figured this could be a good buy if this is indeed authentic (I am having it authenticated). The 16800 is definitely messed up and will need a full service. I do have extra links and the clasp to make the band whole. That said, I wanted to get an idea of if this can be serviced and if this looks authentic. Pictures for reference: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

..A 16800 for $1000 would have been a steal if genuine, even if not running/broken/drowned.. A fake Sub for $1000 would have been a steal..(from you!)
