3235 Performance by position

Hello all,
Sub Date owner with the 3235 movement. I am familiar with the expected performance overnight with standard resting positions such as crown up, crown down, dial up, dial down.

Curious what performance you see with storing a watch overnight with the 12 o clock up, or 12’o clock down, in other words hanging the watch with the dial vertical. Thanks in advance.

With the modern day movements since introduction of the 31 -
32 series different resting positions might get perhaps a second or so difference out of 86400 in a day.So best experiment different positions the best for your watch and wearing habits.

3235 Performance by position

Measuring performance by position takes into account myriad aspects of gravity, friction, lack of friction, amplitude, escapement variation, power transmission gear lash, and barrel lubrication.

Chiefly, gravity yields different observations.

This is all temporary at rest. Once you strap on the watch, new forces affect accuracy.
