It has a larger wrist presence than its 40mm case size suggests, I just haven’t handled one long enough to know whether it becomes tedious on the wrist with frequent wear.

Do like its quirkiness.

The OP with Green Dial seems to strike that delicate balance of classic looks, while being quirky enough to separate it from your everyday Submariners or GMTs.

That would be me. Purchased a z-blue in 2021 as my very first Rolex and sold it in 2022 thinking it was too heavy. Purchased a modern GMT shortly thereafter and realized it wasn’t heavy at all in comparison, and repurchased it less than a year later (luckily after prices came back down). Love it and don’t see myself parting with it for many years.

Embarrassed to own such a watch that has been shunned by Google and everyone.

Have both in my collection, and the z-blue is in the process of being sold, pending funds.
I love the dial of the Milgauss, and especially the green crystal, but I sold for the same reasons I sold the 116900 Air-King; just a tad too thick for what it is (over 13mm) (3 hander/ no complication) I have the Green OP41 and decided to keep it instead as I prefer the wear, and the equally love the lacquer dial.

I like the look of brushed vs polished case. Both have dials that stand out, Milgauss is attractive but I feel that the OP is more versatile.

Have had mine since 2019 and wear it as part of a weekly rotation of a varied collection that include larger watches. Though I have read on TRF about it(and previous gen Air King) being “top heavy” and that being a reason others have let it go, I personally have never noticed that being the case.

For comparison, I have a Black Bay ETA that I do notice to be top heavy and the imprint on the dorsum of my wrist at the end of the day supports that.

I imagine that your experience will vary depending on your build and the shape of your wrist.

Out of these two probably OP, but exclusively 36, never 41. I like the black dial Milgauss with white glass very much, though, in my opinion, it's the best of the "modern" Milgausses.

I love both but didn't have the opportunity to buy the Milgauss despite being on the list. I do have the OP36 green though and posted some pictures to this thread:

Green OP is more conservative. Blue Milgauss is younger and a bit more flashy.

Neither option is wrong. It depends what you're looking for.

This or That - OP (Green Dial) versus Milgauss (Z-Blue)

I voted for the Milgaus. But I think it's pretty close.

Seems like it's a win of a beautiful Rolex model like the Zblue over the hype. There is hope after all.

I am pretty sure the Air King and Yacht Master II are number 1 and 2 on the most divisive/disliked Rolex models. I'm not even sure Milgauss is top 5. Sure, some are not fans of the Milgauss second hand, but the Z-Blue has been a forum darling almost from the start.

I previously had a non-GV black dial Milgauss. I liked the case/weight/fit but it was just too similar to my 39mm Explorer to keep both. Even earlier, I had the white dial Milgauss. I sold that because I'm an idiot.

The green OP is attractive to look at, but I doubt I'd wear it or any other green watch very often. Come to think of it, I breifly owned the white dial 39mm OP and sold that as well...another bad choice.

Chose this. The OP 36 wore so much better on my smaller sized wrists. Really loved the idea of the Z-Blue, but wasn’t nearly as comfortable.

The lacquer green is gorgeous. Incredible piece that punches above its weight. Would be a shame if Rolex were to discontinue this year at W&W 2024.
