I'll start. But there is one thing I don't like about this watch

The second hand is damn near impossible to read, perhaps?

Am I reading correctly that that thing is depth rated to 3000 m? Who is going to free dive to 10,000 ft, and wearing that thing to boot? What kind of idiocy drives a company to make that kind of watch (tourbillon or not)?

I would imagine if any idiot tried, his body may evenutally be recovered but it would be a nasty sight. And if trying to pull him out of the water, pull at his clothes cuz the other parts will pull off (hmm easy way to snatch the watch ).

Why the hell would anyone need a tourbillon, let alone a tourbillon on a dive watch??? IMO tourbillons are nothing more than a watch engineer's wet dream come (ahem) to fruition. I don't even think they're nice to look at on the dial of a watch.

Then again Ed, Isn't GP the same company that makes your uber-complicated World Timer?

Yes, John, but the ww.tc certainly isn't depth rated to 3Km. And I don't know why you think it's ubercomplicated. All it has are date, chrono and world time functions. You do understand how a chrono operates, don't you? And I'll bet you have a watch with the date function. So what's the big deal about adding a world time ring?

You're my kind of guy, coz I HATE tourbillons as well. Not because of the technique but because even Timex will bring 'em out soon (This was in jest). They are everywhere, blehhhhhhh

Frans that first Ap was not a bad looking watch,before they bolted on the
most useless in a wristwatch, overrated bit of horological abonimation, they call a tourbillon.

Actually, I like the watch except for one irritating factor. The small hand is on TOP of the minute hand....should be the other way around.

The only regret I have with mine is the black dial. While I love black dials (witness my GMT), the chrono features are very hard to read on this particular one. Had I known that at the time, I would more likely have gotten the white dial flavor. C'est la vie.

Ed, isn't there one with a half black, half white dial? I think I remember seeing one like that, but then again, I could be having a 'JJ moment'.

BTW, the one I tried on was platinum and on a strap the list was CDN$55,000. YIKES!

Black dial with red hands (that is cool looking)

Ah okay, I was thinking of the Ferrari one. The nicest of the lot, IMO.
