Two tone submariner or sea dweller back dial?

I don’t have any two tone watches but I’m considering either the black dial sub or sea dweller. Preferences?

I adore my TT SD and it gets more wrist time than any other watch I own. The SD is just a little beefier/substantial than the Sub, but without being truly ginormous like a Deep Sea. It's also the toughest TT watch that Rolex makes and I like gold.

Biggest caveat to the SD is that it does have a unique case back that some find uncomfortable. The Sub case back is flatter and sits closer to the wrist. Suggest trying them both on before committing.

I have the TT SD and its a little on the bulky side for a Rolex, more suited to AP, which is a brand I do really like, so I'm thinking of swapping mine for the Black TT Sub after recently getting the CHNR and really appreciating Rolex TT again and its more svelte size, no brand does it better.

Comes down to your preference, do you like slightly bigger?
And I would say wrist size, I own blue sub and TT sea. My preference for size and fit would be seadweller for my 7.25” wrist. I’m sure many would disagree but as I say it’s all about personal preference, best try before you buy. Good luck.

The SD looks off to me in TT. I'd go with the Sub.

No one here can answer that question for you. You have to decide for yourself. What I like may not be what you like. Try them both on and see which one puts the biggest smile on your face.

I own the TT blue Sub41 and SD43.
I tried both TT black Sub and TT SD43 on. I prefer the size of the SD43, more impact on the wrist. I own a TT blue Sub because there's no TT blue SD43.

Of the original two, my preference would be the SD43. For the TT, I highly recommend the Bluesy. It’s such a fantastic watch.

Exactly this. A number of guys here have posted that the SD is a bit too beefy on their wrists. Other guys absolutely love the watch.

I like the SD43TT in this instance. My only beef is the matte dial. I love the matte dial on the stainless version, but thought the TT SD43 would look better with a gloss dial.

I would go for the new 41mm sub in two tone with black dial. The TT SD43 looks strange being a very big TT diver.

The Submariner date will wear easier on the wrist (for me).

Have owned both. I prefer the graduated bezel, but the size is really the deciding factor IMO. I actually choose a 116600 vs a sub in SS because of the graduated bezel. I love the sub but, whenever I see a Rolex in the wild…it’s more than likely a SS sub, so I like to have something a bit different, even if it’s a graduated bezel, green bezel, WG, YG, etc…
