Rolex Service Center complete overhaul?

Does anyone know what this entails?

Dropped off my DSSD due to not being able to change the time or date and RSC says needs a complete overhaul.

Thank you.

They will break down the movement, clean, oil and replace any worn/damaged parts. Also full polish of the watch.

Thank you.

They will take out the movement and dismantle it, clean it, then re-lubricate anything that’s needed. Worn out behind the dial (DSSD wouldn’t need new dial or hands I imagine) parts get replaced as well.

Case and bracelet are all cleaned as well and if it’s an out of warranty service, they’ll likely refinish them too.

After that it’s all put back in the case, regulated for accuracy, and pressure checked.

You should also get a free Rolex travel pouch for your trouble.

Hope this helps!

You dropped it off at the source. Didn’t think to ask them what it entails?

If you don’t want your watch polished you should mention that during drop off

Circa 2009.

Also since kinda aged and someone mentioned dial will not be replaced, is it an option if the chromolite markers are not as vibrant as new? Just curious.

Thanks for all of the help.,

I think your eyes have changed more than the lume over just 15 years.

I wouldn't replace the dial.

You can always ask to have a dial replaced, however, modern lume does not degrade like earlier lume compositions.

It is very unlikely that a 2009 Chromolite dial would be degraded at all.

Round up to about 900.00, polishing bracelet, watch replacing gaskets etc.

I pulled crown out to adjust date and it was crunchy while winding, then skipped and would slightly catch…then nothing. Same thing happened on the time adjustment as well. So took it in to RSC.

Edit price was 972.09 out the door.
