Should A Brand New Datejust Have a 0.2 ms Beat Error?

Thanks, I’ll have to check him out, too. A funny thing has happened. Lately, I’ve found my husband watching watch videos, and he’s always showing me new releases, from various brands, in all price ranges. He is always watching various subject matter on YouTube. The weird thing is he has no interest in wearing anything, but the one watch I gave him.
He just loves to learn about new things, about a variety of subjects. I guess he watches, so he can share in my passion, in some way. It was John, who pointed me at “TheNekkid Watchmaker”. I am so fortunate to have found this guy.

Send it back to RSC as soon as possible! Get it fixed up.

Apparently, a 0.2 millisecond beat error is just fine, so no need to send it to RSC.

This would be very cool to see across the multitude of brands you have.
I like that it helps you interact with your watches, and I'd love to see the results and see what watches you have and enjoy too. You're in a unique position to do this since you have so many watches available to test.

I also second the GS Spring drive test. Would love to see those results.
I really need to pick up one of those in the future. I really love the dials on the Evolution 9 series.

You can't test a spring drive movement on a timegrapher because it doesn't have a balance wheel.

Position Of Watch seconds Per Day even this would meet Rolex spec.
Dial Up+2
Dial Down-1
6 o’clock+3
9 o’clock-3
3 o’clock+5

That’s a good point, that at each 12 second interval, that the Timegrapher measures (I have mine set that way), it extrapolates the average time lost or gained, over a 24 hour period, in a set position. I actually never thought that through, before you posted this, so thanks.

As a seiko connoisseur, I know you can’t do that, but a Spring Drive movement is accurate to within 1 second per day. It’s an amazing movement. As much as I admire what Seiko has accomplished, it uses quartz, so not as purely mechanical, as an escapement based movement. Being old school, I’d prefer a Rolex, or an Omega, with its coaxial escapement.
