Day Date Rose Gold Olive AD

How hard is it too obtain a Rose Gold Olive Day Date from an AD?

Any price predictions if this watch is discontinued?

Go ask and AD. The pool of people who can afford this watch is small. If you can, go register.

The secondary market prices have dropped massively. Was near $100k, now $50k on Chrono, meaning you can probably get them down a 5-10%.

I think the market availability for these price point watches will improve more and more as people start to realize their cost is actually a lot of money given declining used market prices. It is easy to lose track of cost where everything skyrockets on the used market.

I’ve seen a few white gold ones go for below retail, I’m sure this isn’t far behind, and I love the rose DD.

I just closed one from my AD.
I wouldn’t say it is easy if you don’t have any relationship though..

How does your buddy know it's un-worn? It's a grey market watch. 43K wow.

This is a 30k watch max excluding taxes - just hang in there, be patient and purchase from a grey at that price towards the end of the year.

I doubt it drops that low. This reference sells fast on moda mid 40s. Could also get discontinued anytime. But we shall see.

Seems like this is one of the hardest gold DD40 combinations to get if not maybe the most (excluding any crazy diamond-encrusted models).

I started looking for one in 2022 and had relationships at two AD's and both told me based on the frequency that they receive this model and their lists, it would easily be over 5 years to get one. And these are solid relationships where I had bought a stainless Daytona from both so not just a random inquiry.

I went to an AD with no purchase history but ironically one that I had turned down the chance twice to get this model, back in 2019 and again in 2020. I told him I wouldn't make the same mistake a third time and would buy it the day he called.

It took about 16 months of waiting for one to show up finally.

It's a keeper for me so I don't worry or care about resale value.

It’s a great watch, but I think in the current climate may be possible through an AD

I had about a 6 week wait with my AD for mine - and that was my first purchase with them.

No it’s not. It’s still above retail even grey. I doubt it drops below retail. This and yellow gold green dial and still hard to get at an AD.

Not exhibitions, and both were actually for sale? That's encouraging.

I'm hoping to land the RG Olive.

RG Day-Date with Olive dial is still not that easy to get it from ADs but you can get it from secondary market at almost the same price (msrp+tax). It might be pre-owned in very good condition.

Unless you have to have it now, I'd wait to get it from an AD. Buying a DD40 goes a long way to building that relationship.

Agreed. I feel all Rolexes need a 50% price cut from retail.
