Rolex and the Arduous Voyage of the Cutter "Ituna"
Here is a snippet from a painfully long (& largely ignored) article of mine (Eric Fraser and Rolex) regarding the 1953 Rolex advertisement: The Arduous Voyage of the Cutter "Ituna" from the Rolex "Fantastic Story" advertising campaign. Combing contemporary newspapers we can get a little of the advertisement's backstory.
