Road trip
Hi everyone,
I’m off to Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Auckland on business next month. Any Members here have any experience of ADs on those locations. Thinking of trying my luck as a walk in punter. Comments welcomed! |

Road trip
Interesting. Curious on the road route you’ll be taking between continents. I like the South China Sea freeway myself. Great scenic view of the whale sharks chasing krill on a blue water day

Luck would help your quest.
It could depend on what reference you’re chasing?but for me expecting to score when visiting a country is slim at best |

I always get my hopes up and believe the best will happen, so I'm wishing you the same . . . but, regardless, enjoy your trip.

Was in Auckland a year ago and there is a Rolex AD in Auckland CBD (central business district) as they call it for downtown. I didn't go to the AD but it's unlikely you will find what you want given it's a small market. There is another AD in Queenstown if you go down to the South Island. Focus on sightseeing. All great places.

No way you can get any in HK except PM models. I was offered a full gold submariner last month.

Hope u find a surprise but more likely very difficult.
Every time, I have gone in an am AD overseas, with a nice Rolex on, I don’t even ask, nor have a been stooped to offer anything. May be good looking President or similar, land nicely attired… but the price. Enjoy the “tour”.

Hi , last month I visited Hong Kong. Most ADs ask if you live in HK. But there was two ADs that said they had several watches available: PMs and TTs.
Lots of ADs. Fun grey dealers in Kowloon. |

Thanks everyone. It’s a business trip aside from the last four days in New Zealand, where I’m lucky to have family and friends to visit (and a little rugby to watch). I will try my luck with the Rolex AD in Auckland, and report back if I get offered anything. With the fights and time zones it has to be the Pepsi that I don for the trip :-)

I would not have the confidence to buy grey there, I just don’t think I’d be able to pick a high end fake from the real thing. |
