5167A Additional Straps?
Hi all,
I purchased my 5167A in grey market. Any idea if PP ADs allow us purchase additional straps/different color straps? Mine is black. Thanks

Surely -- just call Tracy at Henri Stern agency in NYC. She's great.

They are the Patek service agency for the US. Tracy runs the strap department and has access to all of the in stock and ordered straps for an Aquanaut, that’s an easy process.

Depends on when your 5167a has been manufactured. I know the new ones are no longer compatible with any other colour Patek aquanaut straps aside from black.

There is no other colour than black that will be available to purchase. If your 5167A is the standard black one, that is the only one you will be allowed to purchase.

Yeah unfortunately not gonna happen though you’re not the first to try hehe. I wish Patek would be more adventurous with this and allow people to switch it around, no idea why they are very very strict on this.

Though one way you could get one is either if you know a collector with the super limited 5167 limited edition that was for the Middle East. If you have someone who owns that, they can get a khaki strap for you. Otherwise if you know someone with the Singapore edition, they can get you a red one.

The orange is only for the 5968. The khaki has long been discontinued. If you want either one you can go buy aftermarket. Check Vagenari out. They have quality rubber straps and the 2 pins on top of the strap are a perfect fit.

How interesting is the orange strap anyway? Much as I admire the look of the 5968, I realize there is nothing unique about the orange strap outside Aquanaut fans. I had brunch in a hotel one day and I saw someone with a metal case watch with an orange strap from a distance. Then I realized it was an Apple Watch.

I went through this process as well. I was not able to source any other color than black from PP for my 5167a.
I ultimately bought a khaki from RubberB, which is near on par with the OEM strap. Also bought a light grey from Tempomat, which is also nice but RubberB is definitely better quality. My 5167 actually never has the black strap on it. I prefer the look of the other colors. |

I bought a blue Rubber B for my 5167a. Top quality for sure but the color didn't do it for me so it's for sale on the TRF classified.

How is the light gray strap working out in the wild?
I was thinking if wearing a Patek with a rubber strap to begin with and switching out of black, don't go halfway and don't stop short of bright colors like bright orange. |
