116500LN v. 126519LN
Anyone who owns or owned both care to comment on which they prefer and if it makes sense to own both?

I have a 116500 black dial and a 116519. Both are amazing, but I wear the OF more.

Both give off a different vibe, thus I feel they could co-exist in a collection. Whether they should, of course, is up to you.

The 116500ln wears smaller .. I own both (well a 116519ln)
Now, to be clear, if you get the new reference steel Daytona (126500ln) it will wear MUCH more similarly in size because the case is finally properly sized the same as the PM/OF models |

I just picked up a 126519LN and have a 116500 black dial. I've been thinking about this but haven't had the watches side by side yet to make a decision. I think it depends on the rest of your collection (i.e. how may other steel sports watches do you have)

This is one of those questions that's virtually impossible to answer. I'd pick both.
I own both, but the (11 series 19) 116500LN, 116519LN I would be the first to say that PM would always win. But the steel white dial Daytona is an exception, overall, its just special, even more in the 11 series because I prefer how it stands over the updates. I like how the 11 series case sits, I like the asymmetrical lugs, the proportion between the markers and sub dial rings and also the ceramic bezel without ring. The 12 series are just sensible updates, making the 11 more appealing to me, sensible is not always interesting. |

I have around 10 other SS pieces, plus a few Tudors. More watches than I need and I may thin them out a bit once I get the 126519.
I like the quirky lugs and other little details of the 116500, but I see them literally daily on other wrists. The OF bracelet on the 126519 would probably find a lot more wrist time for me. |

I know it is kind of an old thread, but can you say what the lug to lug dimensions are? I have a 116500 that sits great on my wrist. I also tried a platona which is bigger but was still ok, is the 126519 case bigger than the platona?

It’s the same case size as the paltona but the end links angle down more than the old platona so it can fit a smaller wrist better if need be

116500LN v. 126519LN
Similar but opposite. Traded my 116500ln white for the new one 2 months ago. Love it. Would never part with either. Definitely keep both as they’re very different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thank you a lot, now I am thinking if I should leave the panda too… hate it when it happens like this do you mind sharing what is your wrist size if you know.

126519, silver dial, just had message from AD mine is in, I’m taking some time to decide on it … one in my collection will have to go, so I’m absorbing as much details about the 519 as I can …

Had both. My WG Daytona was on the bracelet, blue dial. Hard to read. Got good money for both and let them go.

I owned both and expected them to coexist, but after six months of owning the 519 I realised that I’d very rarely worn the 500 so sold it to a friend.
I slightly regret selling it as I didn’t need to, it just felt like a waste to have it and hardly wear it. If you can afford to have both, then have both, but if it’s one or the other, I’d stick with my decision to go with the 519. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
