Yellow … no, it’s “lemon” sub-dials like the rarest PN Daytona YG models.

PS … I’m sure your photos of your “Paul Newman” have sold 1,000 watches … lol … just spectacular.

I like the Pikachu on OF and PN on bracelet. That’s what I did.

You can't beat the matte black and touches of red. Perfect for a watch that has racing pretensions.

May I ask why we call this model the Paul Newman? As far as I can see, it's not like his 6263 unless it's the red minute track?

OF Daytona pikachu vs Paul Newman

If you are going after the new 126518 version of these two, I’d go with the Pikachu version because the new PN version now is missing its red chrono hand, black subdial hands and the gold in the subdials no longer appear “lemon” in color.

If 116518, I recommend PN as the preferred model, however, both are terrific. I’d even say the 1165 Pikachu is better than 1265 Pikachu as the 1165 has black surround hour markers. Making it look far better in my opinion.

Better than below Pikachu

One final point. I vastly prefer the 116518 over 126518 because of the monoblock cerachrome bezel, which protects the watch far more than the YG bezel surround on the 126518.

I know because even on the first time my wife wore her 126515 RG Daytona, she got a dent and scratches on her bezel surround by barely bumping it against a marble table top at a restaurant and her jacket zipper. It upset her to the point of not wearing it for months. Bad design!
