Hard to be the cheerful warmth of an old GMT

That’s a Very nice early example, funny I just picked up an R serial this past week as well. The movement on mine is so strong @ 300 ampltidue unlike the new ones.

That's a great reference, with all of the vintage feel and also a quick-set date.

Thank you, it’s my first vintage piece. The oldest I ever had was 16710 w luminova dial. This one does not glow in the least under UV light which is what we want obviously in the vintage world. The hands are more of an egg shell white & the clasp code is a H for 1983. That’s the only mismatched item I can see and received a few vintage opinions on it. Recent service from Rlx 5 years back. Maybe that’s why the movement runs like a proverbial top (gains 5 sec per day) & is loud & crystal clear to the ear. I really dig yours, looks possibly unpolished too. Congrats:) Here is a quick screenshot from phone video.

Congratulations and a very nice watch indeed. I picked a 1980 16750 myself last month and have it in being serviced at this time. They sure seem to be drying up.

Nice!
Curious about the first few digits of the serial number?
