Tudor back from RSC

Just got my Tudor prince back from RSC in London and very happy with the work they done. I do however have a question, they changed the crown from a tudor crown to a rolex 1. Is this normal?

The first pic isnt mine but thats how the crown looked before it went to RSC.

Second pic is the tudor as it looks now.

Question is, are you happy with it like that? I wonder why they changed it.

Congrats on the return of that beauty. Not sure why but nothing wrong with the crown change.

More then likely the Tudor crown is on back-order.

My mid-size 75090 has a Rolex crown and caseback.....I don't mind.

Yours looks great as well.

Odd. I have the EXACT same watch; dial and all except it has the metal band. My only concern (if the same happened to me.....and it very well could as mine is at the AD having a complete overhaul as we speak) is now the crown does not match the caseback. When I shopped for my watch on line, there is a very specific market for Tudors with the Rolex crown and caseback and those with the Tudor crown and caseback. Those Tudors with the Rolex crown and caseback seem to fetch a higher price. This could be a very good thing!

However, now your watch (and possibly mine) has a Rolex crown and a Tudor caseback. Yes, I would be proud to have the Rolex crown added to the watch, but if I sell the watch in the future, it would look suspect in photos as now the crown and caseback do not match. Just my 2 cents.

No worries as there are numerous combinations of Rolex/ Tudor crowns, case backs, and Oysterdate dials starting with the 792xx references. So even if your Tudor crown is changed to a Rolex crown it could have easily come that way originally. I personally don't think it would hurt the value and in fact, could increase it as many like to see the iconic crown plus you have a service record proving authenticity.
Can't wait to see yours after a spa visit.
