Does anyone set their Rolex by....

Using the watch on the www.rolex.com website?

Seems fairly accurate. I set mine with timeanddate.com, and its just a bit off from the watch on their site...

I set my watches once a month or when the date needs changing by any reliable time source. My life is not run to the absolute second, or the odd minute either way.

Umm, I am pretty sure (although might be mistaken) that it is a flash animation where the clock is actually the time of your computer. Deliberately change it and see...

You are 100% correct. The Rolex website is simply running off the internal clock on your computer.

I envy that easy-going attitude. I use either the G-shock or one of my radio-controlled wall clocks. I, unfortunately, am obsessed with time accuracy, which probably contributes to my fascination with all horological instruments. I've been wearing Zeniths lately, but EPs are non-hacking so the best I can do is get them close. That took serious getting used to. I'm getting better.

Funny that I've been a Rolex owner for the last 6 months, hence being a member of this forum, but this is my first post.

I use www.time.gov, and I am strangely unable to point to a reason why I monitor my watch so closely. Must be the WIS disease. I generally check every other Friday.

Afraid gave all that time checking nonsense 25 plus years ago I have been around Rolex watches now for almost 30 years. And have a few Rolex of varying ages some 80 plus years old, and they have all ran within a few seconds a day.And in all my working years I was never late for work or any appointments or bus train plane times etc thats accurate enough for me.

If you want a watch that is always right on get a Breitling Aerospace. It is amazing. It is my "tool" watch.
