Differences Between Sea Dweller and Submariner?????

Will some of you Pros please chime in and explain the diffferences between the Sea Dweller (16600) and Submariner (16610)?

I was under the understanding that the Sea Dweller had a thicker bracelet and slightly thicker case. My AD didn't have any for me to look at but claimed that the bracelet is exactly the same and there is only a 1mm difference in case thickness.

I'm aware of the obvious differences i.e.; helium escape valve, cyclops...I'm looking for some help in identifying case size, bracelet, etc...

Also the SD has a thicker crystal and is a bit heavier on the wrist.

I have both and wear the SD a lot more, personally I like the heavier feel of the SD and the date without cyclops.

Don't forget the SeaDweller also comes with a scew driver (tool kit) and comes with "L" diver extension.

The bezel is a bit thicker so (my experience) it is easier to turn (more to grip).

SD also sits "higher" on a wrist compared to a Sub Date. Both are great watches and (despite my TRF screen name) the Sub Date is more comfortable for me. (I own both a Sub-Date and an SD.)

I vote for the SD due to the lack of cyclops....

I regret letting mine go but I do not regret owning the
watch I got in trade.

Appearance wise they are very similar..

The SD is constructed differently with an internal case design that is more structurally robust: more metal, thicker flange, thicker case-back... and therefore, the diameter of the crystal is smaller....... the Bezel too, while slightly smaller in inside diameter, is significantly thicker... they use the same movement..

The bracelet is identical dimensionally with the Sub Date which has brushed sides and the SD with polished sides. They are interchangeable.

you can dive deeper with the Sea Dweller, or pretend to.
