Question on Rolex LV's

Hi,

Wanted to know if someone can give me info on the Rolex LV and why on some dials,, the "swiss made" is different on these watches. Sometimes, I see this bordered between minutes markers and other times above the minute markers of the dial. It appears sometimes, that Rolex has used 2 different dials for the LV. Is this normal, or is this a sign of a SS/Rolex being converted into an LV?
Thanks

Normal. There's been quite a study on the LV.

Check this.

Also there was a thread on here somewhere in the last few weeks about various permutations of this on Subs and also Sea-Dwellers with several pictures posted, if you're able to track that down that might be worth a look.

SO,, the LV that I've seen has a M963xxxx serial number.. Is that a Mark 7 or Mark 8.
Seems this can be confusing if you don't know the precise production dates to the serial number. Thanks
