Air King or Date Just

Anyone got photos or reviews of their Air Kings or Date Just?

Seems we are always posting about Explorers, Saedweelers, Subs, GMTs- Be good to hear some about the smiple Air King and Date Just.

Actually like the Air King and Date just in SS and with the oyster bracelets. Thinking of buying one for my Father.

I can only speak for the Date Just. I have a SS 16220 with jubilee bracelet.
I love it and it keeps great time.
Either one of those is a great choice.

Well the Datejust, OP Date, Submariner, Sea-Dweller,and Yacht-Master all share the same reliable movement the Cal 3135.The DJ is Rolex biggest seller world wide, a great Rolex classic. The Airking shares the same movement now as the Explorer, the only difference they don't send movement to the Swiss COSC for testing. To keep the price down a bit, but the whole COSC testing now is nothing more than a marketing ploy.As all Rolex movements are capable of the COSC standards. The same goes for nearly all movements made today. With a bit of patience and regulation, nearly all modern mechanical movements could meed the COSC standard.

Think my dad would like the looks of the Air King or Date Just more than the Explorer 1.

I almost bought the Air King instead of the Explorer 1. Looked really sharp up close!

I prefer the Air King and Explorer 1 to the DJ. Can't go wrong with either.

The Air King a little dressier. The Explorer a bit sportier.

1 small advantage that the air king has over the explorer 1 is that there are many dials to choose from. And should you get sick of the watch after a while, just change the dial and viola, you got a new watch!
