Check out this ebay seller

http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-MENS-18K-Y...ht_8077wt_1167

1. He headlines it as a 2009 "M" when a2009 watch would be a "V"
2. The Certificate shown is a "D"

While the watch may be good. The advertising is misleading at best.

Your observations are correct. Maybe he is confused!

Good attention to detail.

I am sure if brought to his attention, he would fix accordingly!

It has to be a typo, he has good feedback.
I have seen this before with other sellers and they fixed it ASAP.
Good observation.

Engraved with previous owner that has never worn nor has taken off the plastics ? Should the crown not be a trip-lock ? It has only two dots ?
The seller has a good reputation , so they should be able to clarify . This is the second discrepancy I see with the same seller this week .

I agree Bassethounds. With all the knowledge the sellers seem to have these are interesting and obvious issues we've seen from them lately. Having personalized engraving on the back , a D series, and then selling it as Perfect Unworn Brand New condition is rather deceptive. Nothing is Brand New and perfect "condition" with personalized engraving on the back. Well perfect for the persons who's initials are on the back.

It looks like they are not checking the post before it is uploaded the watch does look like it was not like it was out of the box new, however like you said the engraving should be brought up in the post and not left out.

Does a DJ (M serial) come with a "paper" warranty? The certificate says "D" serial, but wouldn't it come with a card instead?

Don't have one, so that's the reason for asking...

I have heard of people not taking off plastics to avoid scratching the watch....

...I contacted them...

...here is their reply:

Dear tudorman8276,

Thank you. I'll have my daughter take new pictures. She mixed up the piks with another one we sold. Thanks again. Brad

...out of simple courtesy, we SHOULD contact these sellers, as I did, to both receive an explanation and the opportunity to rectify it...

...I RECENTLY had $2700.00 listed for "shipping" on one my for sale items. Fortunately, someone contacted me to let me know! OR, it would have NEVER sold...

Good job, Stan! I didn't consider that scenario. You make a good point; especially for those that really do look like a simple error, rather than an attempt to defraud.
