Cost of a New AD Datejust?

Hey guys,

I've been reading the forums and i'm a bit confused about something. My first question is how much is a new Datejust, preferably with an oyster band (is the jubilee more expensive) and with and without the fluted bezel? Also does the numbers represented with hash marks or roman numberal or arabic make a difference? I think I prefer hash marks.

So what should the price be on a new datejust, black face, fluted bezel, oyster bracelet be?

Lastly, i've read a little that some AD offer discounts? Is that true? Should I only buy if a discount of MSRP is offered?

Thanks,
Raj

Yes, the Jubilee bracelet does cost more than the Oyster...not sure about the dial or bezel though. As far as discounts go, yes you will see them form AD's but I would not expect to see as much or, if any, from some of the larger chains like Ben Bridge, stick with the small guys! IMO, your best bet is to go in to an AD and find exactly the dial, bezel & bracelet combo you like and start shopping around here and other places.

If you look at the website minus4plus6 you will see a couple of references for prices. It looks like list prices for the Datejust range from $5400 to $8700 depending on whether you want SS or two-tone.

Welcome , The DJ is a classic and I would think it has more options ( sizes , materials and dial colors ) then any other Rolex model and recently rolex brought out a 41mm called the Date just 2 . There are good deals to be had on some of the less popular versions at most AD's and gray market . I would even suggest to have a look what this forum for sale section has to offer , ranging from BNIB to vintage pre-loved ones . It will take you not long to spot the most reputable sellers . Good luck in your quest !
