1500 advice.
i have been trying to monitor the accuracy of my 1967 OP date this week.
firstly it is running at about -8 seconds per day, is this acceptable for a watch this age, also when i pull the crown out to change the time the second hand keeps moving. is this normal? but what seemed really wierd was if i move the time backwards the second hand keeps moving forwards even though the minutes and hours are moving in the opposite direction? anyone know any more than me on this? regards. tom |

You have a non-hacking movement and what you are experiencing is normal when you adjust the time.

Typically with this movement the cannon pinion is made tighter which will stop the watch when the hands are moved slightly backwards (instead of a hacking mech.).
