Im about to buy a LNIB Sub LV from one of our very trusted big time sellers here on TRF. It is a complete set minus the green hangtag. I tend to be a bit of perfectionist and like to have all the goodies, so do you all think not having the green hangtag is a big deal or not? Also, the warranty card is named and dated already, so will this create any potential problems?

If it's brand new from the AD ask for the items you wish for.

If your buying a used watch, the card should be signed by whoever purchased it.

Did the seller say BRAND NEW, or LNIB?

I think you might be getting a little nit picky when it's used. Not that you shouldn't get what is sold to you, but you should ask the seller if the hang tag was left out, or if he has a spare for you. I wouldn't worry about it myself.

I agree that I am being a little nit picky here. It Is an ever so slightly used watch that the seller received literally 2-3 days after being bought from the AD as a trade on one of his other watches.

Here in Holland we have several trusty (internet) sellers that only sell tags and boxes.

Im confused by this.....
As long as the watch is in great condition, has the box, the books, the warranty card/papers then that is all you need.

things like bezel protectors, little hang tags etc are not important to the watch, or even if you go to sell it traders do not ask if you have the little green Rolex tag.

It's like buying a car and when you collect it saying "I want the price sign that was on the window or I want the plastic that covered the seats"

Trust me, I have OCD when it comes to watches etc, but that is taking it way too far....

Forget the Rolex tag, get the watch on and enjoy it :)

Have to agree some think more of things like the holograms, and bits of in reality plastic packaging tat, than the most important thing the watch.The
green tag is as important as having to watch paint dry.

The only two items that you can't replace from a box set are the warranty card/paper and the green hang-tag with the watch serial number etc - that said you can buy a hang-tag without the relevant serial number sticker from a number of sources (e-bay etc) - this should help address any OCD issues

The key issue though is the condition of the watch - if that meets your requirements, the seller is reputable and the price is right then those are the criteria aganist which I would suggest you should assess the purchase.

It's not important at all. The largest AD in my area does not normally include the green tag with the watch.

I purchased my new GMTIIc from my AD without a bezel protector. But I didn't worry about it. The warranty card is much more important than the hangtag. So, got for it & enjoy!

I'm going to take just a bit of an opposite view. I don't know about the latest run of the LV, but at least here in the states the older versions carried the distinction of being an LV on the paperwork and hang tag-not on the watch. It like the 16610 simply said 16610T.

If you plan to never sell the watch no big deal and with the original paperwork you still have documentation. Be nice to have all the bits though.
