Great!

My Miata is a sports car.

I love that little roller skate.

Wow! There are a lot of great cars that qualify for sports designation. The Miata is a great sports car for the money. My presently own two Jag E Types; both great. My vote for the best sports car is the Porsche 911. Mine is an absolute joy to drive.

It's lucky we have so many models to choose from.

My dream car is a 1996 - dodge viper GTS-R Coupe

To me that is the epitome of the muscle car baby!

I agree with you Steve, but that particular version doesn't do it for me. I don't like the headlights.

This one is much better

Muscle Cars:
cars that are fast and powerful, not necessarily a road course car such as:
69 Dodge Charger, Chevelle, GTO, Ford Super Snake, Most of the Roush cars.

Sports Cars:
Cars that are fast and track worthy from the showroom:
Miata, s2000, M3, audi tt, audi rs4, Corvette C6+ (C5-, Muscle Car)

Super Cars:
Cars that fall into the sports car category but are generally not your daily driver, $100k+, All performance very little practicality:
Lamborghini Gallardo, Murcielago, Ferrari All with exception of 599, enzo and anniv cars, Mercedes Black, arial atom (less than 100K),

Hyper Cars
Cars that fall into the super car category but are exorbitantly priced:
Ferrari Enzo, 599, anniv cars, lamborghini Reventon, Merc SLR, Veyron, and all of your koenigseggs gumperts, pagani zondas, Nobles,Ultimate Aero

Those were examples, i know i missed many cars that fall into all of those categories

I was a bit torn as to where to put the Astons, sports, hyper, or are they sports luxury?

The high HP luxury category would take all day to do so its not even in there.

This is a really cool thread.

My fav is the Gallardo, its an amazing car and very easy to see HP numbers that would make a Veyron shiver.

You'd do good to bone up on your Corvettes. Their reputation is well founded without the need for snobbish attitudes.

I wouldn't worry about it - Leo is an expert about stuff like this. My first reaction was just like yours, an Astin db5. But I've learned to wait until Leo answers before I post.

Thanks Dick.

I wouldn't say expert but I do know a little bit about these cars as I grew up with them and have had the priviledge to have owned most of them.

That said, would it be impertinent of me to ask what currently sits in your garage?
