My new $3 Beater
Picked this up a few days ago to be my road watch. I sold my old "Coke" 16710 and missed it badly, so had to buy this old thing to keep me company on the road. It's only worth $3 so I don't have to worry about impressing anyone with it.

Yep, nice watch for $3. I beat my dealer to a pulp to get it to $3 and told him I didn't care about HVAC or windows in the store and that fancy little espresso machine was of NO value to me. And who cares about after sales service anyway? I almost didn't buy it though. He told me that I looked too old to own a Rolex and that I should buy someone more appropriate like a G-Shock. I'm SO sensitive and self conscious about comments like that! Life can be a b!tch when you're buying nice things for yourself.

I am not sure how you run your finances, but I would see if they would do a 12 months same as cash credit deal. Put down 10% or 30 cents, then pay the rest over the year, that way you can keep your $2.70 pretty liquid. But just my 2 cents.

Looks really nice for a $3 watch. Thanks for sharing. I think you should have pushed the AD a bit further to get it at $2.7.

Beautiful GMT II BTW! Congrats.

You'll be fine. A couple price increases and you'll be square.

Considering the nature of this thread, I think it was just your 1 cent.

I'll give you $9.00 for it - three times what you bought it for. Now how could you turn that down.
